E-mail announcement, with nomination form attached, to all Palmer
employees announcing the calling for nominations of full-time ranked faculty for
Faculty of the Year.
·
Letter to the Faculty Senate President and Senators requesting
selection of members to serve on the Award Committee (five ranked faculty from four
constituencies including Classroom, Clinic, Research and Academic Support). Attachments included: Policy 53 on the process, Appendix I
(nomination form) and Appendix II (performance guidelines). Due by October 3.
· Request to VPAA to name a designee to serve on the ad hoc award committee
SEPTEMBER 15:

Contact Marketing to send e-mail, along with nomination form, to all
Palmer employees, reminding them of the October 5 deadline for submitting
nominations.
OCTOBER 3
·
List of recommended committee members due from Faculty Senate and VPAA;
send to VPAA for approval
OCTOBER 3 – ALL NOMINATIONS
ARE DUE
OCTOBER 6 - 10
·
Faculty Achievement Committee reviews nominations for completeness and
forwards those to the Awards Committee Chair
·
Letters to recommended Award Committee members and to the VPAA
designate to serve on Awards Committee.
·
Personnel screening is conducted by Human Resources.
OCTOBER 13

Award Committee meets to select the top three nominees for the
interview process.
OCTOBER 23
· Send email announcing Faculty of the Year reception.
NOVEMBER 3
· Send email reminder announcing Faculty of the Year reception.
