This program is intended to encourage full-time faculty members or administrators with continuing contracts in the Academic Affairs division to pursue educational programs that best serve the interests and needs of the College.

Academic Affairs administrators with continuing
contracts (not available during the first two (2) years of employment) at
The program provides up to one hundred percent (100%) reimbursement for tuition and other required application, registration and laboratory fees. It does not cover variable costs such as activity or graduation fees, fraternity or sorority dues, materials, textbooks, refundable security deposits, nor travel expenses.
Funding decisions made under this policy do not address issues of release time or workload. It is the responsibility of the grant recipient to gain approval from the appropriate supervisor for any variation in workload and/or schedule.
The courses supported by grant assistance must meet one of the following course requirements, along with the conditions noted:
I. Courses taken as part of the curriculum at a fully accredited college leading to a graduate degree or diploma (not for certification or license renewal) must contribute to the professional expertise of the grant recipient. Such a program may be partially or fully reimbursed and carries a three (3) year commitment to the college after the completion of the degree or the diploma (one-third (1/3) of the total cost is forgiven for each year of service). Continuance of financial assistance is contingent on satisfactory academic performance. Satisfactory performance is defined as maintaining a “3.0” average on a scale of “4.0.”

Courses at a fully-accredited college not
leading to a degree or diploma program, but which are taken to improve skills
in support of the educational mission of

Courses taken for a D.C. Degree at
a. Registration is approved by supervisor, academic dean and VPAA
b. The three-year waiting period to begin the program may be waived with the VPAA’s approval.
c. Continuance of financial assistance is contingent on satisfactory academic performance.
IV. Courses leading to a diplomate designation or other approved certification must contribute to the professional expertise of the grant recipient. Such a program may be partially or fully reimbursed and carries a three (3) year commitment to the college after the completion of the degree or the diploma (one-third (1/3) of the total cost is forgiven for each year of service). Continuance of financial assistance is contingent on satisfactory academic performance.
