Dear Ms. Wright:

The images that appear in your text, “Wonders of the World” are a good supplement to my class lectures on rock formation.  I am requesting permission to incoporate selected photographs from your text into PowerPoint presentations for my future geology courses.  The images would be used solely for my geology course presentations on the Palmer campus.

I have used your text as a course reference in the past and student feedback has always been positive in terms of their ability to visualize specific geological structures.  I believe that using the images in a more specific way will enhance my students’ learning.

I have signed and enclosed two copies of this letter for your convenience.  If you are willing to extend permission as outlined above, please sign both copies keeping one copy for your records and returning the other to me.  Thanks you for your consideration in this matter.

Sincerely yours,
