Supplemental Disability Insurance is an individual policy owned and controlled by you. It allows you to more adequately protect your most valuable asset...the ability to earn an income. This policy supplements your group policy which is provided by Palmer College.
Do the premiums increase with age?
No. The policy is non-cancelable/guaranteed renewable. Once it is put in force, the premiums remain the same to age 65.
Can I increase or decrease my coverage?
Yes, there are provisions in the policy that allow you to keep your benefit amount in pace with the cost of living as well as income increases. Because the policy is owned by you, you can decrease or cancel coverage at any time.
Is the coverage portable?
Yes. You can take the coverage and it's discounts with you if you leave Palmer College.
How much does this coverage cost?
The cost for Supplemental Disability Insurance varies according to a number of factors. Individuals interested in purchasing supplemental disability coverage are provided a personalized consultation and proposal.
