The publications and communications personnel at the Palmer colleges use many media and various frequencies to keep you informed, occasionally entertained and, in general, connected to the Palmer community. Most of the following items are issued by Marketing and Public Relations.
Alumni News is a three-times-a-year magazine with information about Palmer College of Chiropractic along with alumni reports and short articles promoting the activities of Palmer’s 20,000 alumni worldwide. It is produced in-house, mailed to alumni and distributed internally by Marketing and Public Relations staff.
Bulletin boards are located throughout the three Palmer campuses. Items must be approved by Student Services in order to be posted.
Electronic flash boards flash short announcements on a recurring basis on the Palmer College campus. Marketing and Public Relations coordinates the Mail Room sign with notices for students and employees.
FYI is published every Monday on the Palmer College of Chiropractic West campus. FYI is distributed via the information racks posted throughout the Palmer West campus (by the Bookstore, Business Office, Cafeteria, Library and south entrance hallway) and delivered to each department. FYI includes news items, short announcements, club news and related information of interest to the Palmer West community. News items received by noon on Thursday will appear in the following week’s issue.
Individual departments such as Human Resources or the President’s Office will occasionally issue announcements, invitations, reports and questionnaires. Such distributions are usually coordinated through Marketing and Public Relations.
Palmer Chiropractic News (also known as PC NEWS) is a monthly, four-page update on employee activities and issues at the Palmer College of Chiropractic campuses. Policies and programs are explained and special events covered. It includes news and human-interest items, new hires and campus notes. It is generally produced in-house. Contact the editor in Marketing & Communications if you have ideas for stories or information to share.
TuesdE-News is an all-campus e-mail list of quick announcements sent each Tuesday morning. College job listings and area seminars are attached documents. Send news items to Marketing and Public Relations by 3 p.m. on Mondays. Call (563) 884-5416 for the appropriate e-mail address. TuesdE-News is sent to all three campuses.
The Palmer Web site offers information regarding Palmer College of Chiropractic and is aimed at prospective students as well as alumni, students, employees and anyone interested in Palmer. News is updated on a bi-weekly or earlier basis. Areas of the site are updated regularly by various departments. The site is located on the Web at www.palmer.edu.
The Weekly Bulletin is published every Friday and is intended to keep Palmer College students and employees informed of College happenings. It is available on the Palmer Web site (www.palmer.edu) with a limited number of printed copies available outside of the PCC Mailroom. There are news items, short announcements, club news, scholarships and job listings. Send items to Marketing & Communications via e-mail or campus mail by 4 p.m. on Wednesdays.
