Vogt Leadership Society News and Events Vogt’s 2nd Annual Christmas Food Drive The Vogt Leadership Society will be sponsoring its’ 2nd Annual Christmas Food Drive starting November 27th. Last year the society was able to collect over 2000 food items to donate to needy families in the Quad Cities. We again would like to thank all the students, faculty, and staff members that made our initial food drive a great success. We would also like to recognize the Delta Sigma Chi’s who made the largest donation, therefore allowing us to reach our collection goal. Because we reached our goal, Dr. Kern, Dr. Marchiori, Dr. Percoco, and Vashtie Ryan were wonderful sports and spread some Christmas cheer in their holiday costumes! The Vogt Leadership Society HAS believes it is very important that Palmer plays an active role in supporting the community. Don’t let us forget how the community supports us. We urge everyone again to participate and bring any non-perishable food items that they can spare to help needy families during the holiday season. You can bring your donations starting November 26th to the Union stage. The Society will be setting a higher collection goal this year and will be collecting items up until December 15th.
Vogt members participate in Kid's Day America 2006! The mission of the VLS is to promote leadership, growth, and understanding of chiropractic at Palmer College and throughout the world by exemplifying personal excellence, chiropractic vision and positive role modeling. Members of the Vogt Leadership Society shall strive to reflect values that are ethically sound, morally accurate, respectful, decisive, are honest, have integrity, are open, connective and supportive of diversity. The Vogt Leadership Society (VLS) takes an active part at Palmer College participating in numerous events on and off campus. At the beginning of every new trimester the Vogt Society welcomes the new incoming students to Palmer College. During this time members of the VLS assist the students in answering any questions the students may have and also give them helpful advice on subjects and classes, instructors, community events, study habits to name a few. After Orientation, members of the Society gather their small groups together for potlucks, picnics and the like to help the new students get to know their peers that they will be with for their time here at Palmer College and beyond. This is a perfect time for the student to build a sense of community and timeless relationships. The students are given contact information for the Vogt members so that any questions they might have during their time here can be answered from others that have been there before them.
